About Us and Our Adoption Process
Animal Concern Cumbria is a small local charity that exists to help neglected or unwanted animals and to help people provide good homes for them.
It is the firm policy of Animal Concern Cumbria not to destroy an animal for want of a home, except on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.

All prospective homes will be required to have a short interview, have their home checked and sign a contract before adoption. The animal will remain the property of Animal Concern Cumbria West Branch, and as such any problems arising post adoption will mean the animal must be returned to the branch. Animal Concern Cumbria West Branch do not deliver or collect and no re-homing's will be carried out through email.

Our organisation is run by volunteers and is self funding. We always welcome and encourage new members.

Adoption Restrictions:
To adopt an animal, please contact our rehoming officers: 0782 1040390 for a short interview, and home check appointment. To release an animal, please contact Jim Hewitson 01946 692178 (due to limited spaces, we may not be able to help you directly, but may pass you on to another branch. We have branches in Carlisle, Millom and Keswick.
